The Weeknd revealed why there were only six songs in the album he wrote after his breakup from Selena Gomez in the year 2017. Esquire gave a task to him to name those five songs that define him the best during his interview with them. Surprisingly, none of the songs from his 2018 EP, My Dear Melancholy, made it to the list of those five songs. This was the record that was released months after his split from Selena Gomez and consisted of several references to the singer. It also had referenced to his other ex Bella Hadid.
