Joy-Anna (Duggar) Forsyth’s newborn daughter of Forsyth officially has a name now. The Counting On star revealed nearly one week after the arrival of her baby girl the moniker that she and Austin Forsyth, her husband, gave to the infant, Evelyn Mae Forsyth. Joy-Anna explained that she and her husband Austin, after welcoming their second child on August 21, had a difficult time in deciding a name. She wrote on her Instagram that she wanted her name to be elegant and perfect on Thursday alongside the newborn photos of little Evelyn Mae Forsyth.
She said that they had a hard time deciding on the name, but after a few days, they finally settled on Evy Mae and they think it fits her perfectly. Joy-Anna announced the birth of Evelyn Mae on Monday in a sweet Instagram post, sharing two photos of Austin, 26, and herself, with their new arrival, who joins 2-year-old big brother, Gideon.
She wrote on Instagram that they have been dreaming of this day and they are so happy to announce that their baby girl arrived on August 21, at 2:12 p.m. weighing around 8 lbs 5 oz and is 19.5″ long. Joy-Anna continued that she has the best personality, is easy going, and she loves to be held. Evelyn has her days and nights mixed up, but honestly, Joy love it. Getting to spend that quality, quiet time with through the whole night has been so special. They are very grateful for all the prayers and love that have come their way during this pregnancy.
Joy-Anna and Her Babygirl
The baby girl was born without any complications, and she and her mom are both doing great. This great news comes after Joy-Anna revealed in July last year, that she had miscarried at 20 weeks. In March, she made an announcement that she was pregnant again and was expecting a baby girl in the month of August.
She wrote on her Instagram at the time, “Yes, it is true; I am pregnant again.” She added that it had been quite the crazy journey these last few months, but they are so thankful that baby and mom are healthy. Joy-Anna opened up about her pregnancy in a YouTube video last month, telling the fans that was unlike her first at-home birthing experience, she would be delivering a second child in a hospital. The proud mama shared three new photos on Wednesday of her little bundle of joy.
