Many consider Johanna Constantine one of the biggest highlights of ‘Sandman‘ already Netflix. The new version of the hero fell in the public’s taste and it didn’t take long for requests for a spin-off focused on the character to emerge. By the way, a campaign to make the spin-off series has the support of Neil Gaiman.

The news in question was revealed by Jenna Colemanactress who plays the occultist in the production of Netflix. In an interview with THR, she was asked if she has heard that there are requests for a Constantine series.

“Yes, from Neil himself! One of the reasons I wanted to do this was because the character felt so formed, and what was really thoughtful of Neil and Allan’s part is that they sent the script but didn’t say who the character was. So I didn’t know it was Constantine when I read it. So I had my own ideas about who this person was without having formed any concept of Constantine beforehand, which was really smart. But yeah, Neil warned me. He and Allan really support that. They seem to think it would be a good idea.”she said when asked if she really wanted to do the series.

Warner after ‘Sandman‘ announced a new film from ‘Constantine‘ again starring Keanu Reeves (Matrix). Jenna Coleman dodged when asked if she believes her version of the character has anything to do with his return to theaters, but celebrated being a part of “Constantineverse”: “I’m enjoying this. In fact, I go around saying ‘I’m basically Keanu Reeves’”.

Remembering that all episodes of season 1 are now available on Netflix.
