According to Deadline, Justin Longfrom the classic horror ‘Hungry eyes‘ and the recent ‘brutal nights‘, joined the cast of the live-action series’Goosebumps‘, which is being developed by Disney+.

The actor will play Nathan Bratt, a new teacher who develops a terrifying connection with an ancient supernatural entity.

The production is based on the iconic literary saga of R.L. Stine.

“[A série] follows a group of five high school students who unleash supernatural forces on their town and must work together – thanks to and despite their friendships, rivalries and pasts with each other – to save it, uncovering secrets about their parents’ past in process”.

Basically focused on children and teenagers, the collection of 62 books by ‘Goosebumps‘ brings together several horror tales containing terrifying creatures. In 1995, the title won its first TV adaptation, having been shown until 1998 by Fox Kids.

The Disney+ series will be helmed by Neal H. Moritzwho has worked on the two films in the theatrical franchise. Nick Stoller e Rob Letterman will be the writers and executive producers.

In 2015, the stories won a theatrical version entitled ‘Goosebumps: Monsters and Goosebumps’com Jack Black playing Stine. The success of the feature spawned a sequel called ‘Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween’released in 2018, which did not have the same success as the original.
