It was announced by HBO Max what ‘Dragon Ball Z Kai‘ will be available on the platform starting next Monday, October 10th. The anime is a remastered and stripped down version of ‘Dragon Ball Z‘, cutting out some scenes, filler episodes and a certain amount of violence.

It has not yet been officially revealed how many chapters will arrive next week, as the release will be split into two stages. originally, ‘Dragon Ball Z Kai‘ had 159 episodes in Japan and 167 in the version that arrived in the United States and Brazil.

It is worth noting that ‘Dragon Ball Z Kai‘ was broadcast in Japan between 2009 and 2015, going all the way to the Majin Boo Saga. Both Cartoon Network and Band and Warner Channel have already aired the anime.

The anime created by Akira Toriyama is based on the 1984 manga. With the production of Toei Animation, the animated series arrived in 1986 and became one of the biggest franchises with worldwide success coming from Japan.
